There is a reason why Porto won the title of the European Best Destination in 2012 and 2014.

The picturesque and romantic Porto, the second-largest city in Portugal is surrounded by mediaeval relics, unique baroque churches, colourful bell towers, decadent houses piled on top of one another, narrow lanes and steep staircases.

Porto’s residents known as Tripeiros are the ‘soul’ of this city, very proud of their historic city centre Ribeira area which was registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996.

In the last two decades Porto has undergone an extraordinary renaissance. Due to its history, the city of Porto has an incredible architectural patrimony, expressed more recently with the new building the Alvaro Siza Vieira’s Museu de Arte Contemporanea and Rem Koolhass’ Casa da Musica. Moreover Porto has numerous theatres, cinemas, book shops, bars and restaurants and you can easily move around with the new metro system.

Porto is your starting point to discover our beautiful region and country. In fact, from here you can visit the astonishing Douro Valley (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the oldest winegrowing area in the world and the valley where the grapes of the Port wine are cultivated. An hour driving you can also reach Guimarães, the city where the country was born.

The city of Porto is a tumbledown, vibrant, young, musical, artistic, historic, wine-lover city and it will not take you long time to fall in love with this city.

Come and stay with us, come and visit Porto.
